Fundraising activities, membership dues, plus memorial gifts and donations allow the Guild to preserve and beautify the Close landscape. As Stewards to the gardens, grounds, and woods the Guild has this sacred mission.
In August, a earthquake caused considerable damage to the Cathedral and its buildings. Subsequently, a crane working on the close fell causing more damage to the Herb Cottage and the Bishop's Garden.
