The 7th Annual International floral exhibit, entitled “Flowers Around the World” will again be held in the magnificent 102' tall nave of Washington National Cathedral. Washington Embassies, their ambassadors, and their floral designers contribute to the creation of gorgeous displays in the bays that run the length of the great hall.

The floral designs highlight each country’s natural and floral heritage as well as its topography, national colors, flags, and symbols. Many of these countries are returning from previous years and their talents produce stunning visual effects against the backdrop of the impressive Gothic structure. Open both days; free admission.

Sri Lanka - His Excellency Jaliya Chitran Wickramasuriya, Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and Mrs. Wickramasuriya
Ukraine - His Excellency Olexander Motsvk, Ambassador of Ukraine
United Kingdom - His Excellency Sir Nigel Elton Sheinwald KCMG, Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Lady Sheinwald.  Designers: Martha Blakeslee with assistance from  John Sonnier, APLD, Horticulturist.
United States - Designers:  Jane Battle, Helen Schmitz, Marion Zimmermann and the Washington National Cathedral Altar Guild

• Out on the grounds, many more wonderful events and booths will feature a great variety of flowers, herbs, and plants for sale.
• Self-guided tour materials for the medieval Bishop’s Garden, Olmsted Woods, and Amphitheater will be available to the public at no charge in the Herb Cottage on South Road and in boxes along the Pilgrim Way path in the Woods.
