In September 2011, a crane working on the Cathedral close to repair earthquake damage fell and damaged part of the Herb Cottage's roof. The Gift Shop in the Herb Cottage is closed. The Cathedral has determined to re-purpose the shop building into a cafe. The Guild is currently exploring the possibilities for another shop location on the Cathedral close. 

However, phone orders are encouraged at (202) 537-8982, and new temporary space for the gift shop is now open on B-2 level of the parking garage (see below).

B-2 Level Location - easy parking
The Gift Shop in the Herb Cottage has opened in the Cathedral’s underground garage on the B2 level. Come and see us there. Parking is easy: enter off of Wisconsin Avenue.  Requests for more information or for gift ordering: our phone: (202) 537-8982.

Throughout the Year, Tuesdays and Wednesdays - The Tour & Tea Program presents guided tours of the Cathedral followed by a delicious catered tea in the Tower on most Tuesdays and Wednesdays (and an occasional Thursday).  Check out availability and make a reservation click here »     Following the tea is the perfect time to shop at the Cottage's annex in the parking garage and see distinctive offerings for home and garden using your discount coupon you received at the Tea.
