Around the World in Embassy Flowers

About the International Floral Display

In 2006, the first “Flowers Around the World” exhibit was held in the magnificent nave of Washington National Cathedral.

Washington Embassies, their ambassadors, and their floral designers contributed to the creation of gorgeous displays in the bays that run the length of the great hall.

The floral designs highlight each country’s natural and floral heritage as well as its topography, national colors, flags, and symbols.

Their designer’s talents produce stunning visual effects against the backdrop of the impressive Gothic structure. The exhibit is open both days of Flower Mart with free admission, and has grown to be one of Flower Mart’s favorite attractions.
